The Monthly CPN Orientation & Munch

Each month, on the second Sunday, CPN holds a Maryland Orientation & Munch. RSVP's are required. Orientation is also sometimes offered at other CPN munches. Attending an orientation and munch is an excellent way to learn about polyamory and CPN - you can meet many members and see what we are about.

At the orientation, we cover the philosophy of CPN, our dedication to the concept of creating "safe space" for all our members and guests, and how you can become a part of our organization and have unlimited access to our programs, activities, and benefits. You may join CPN as a provisional member right after the orientation if you so choose!

CPN also cosponsers three other monthly Munches in DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland with Meetup.com. See our calendar or go to www.meetup.com, type in the keyword 'polyamory' and your zip code to find these.

At a munch, there is lots of good food and conversation. There are often discussions that take place on some topic relevant to polyamory and general fun times. Plus, it's great to just be around poly folks who understand exactly where you're coming from!

Directions The Silver Spring Metro is really at the corner of Wayne and Colesville, one block from Georgia Ave (Rt 29) and two blocks from the restaurant. Going to Georgia is a bit out of the way when walking. From the Metro, what you want to do is to take Wayne Ave. North for two blocks and turn right on Cameron St. and you will be there.

When you come out of the main Metro entrance you will be facing the bus area, Colesville Rd. will be on your left. You want to walk along Colesville to the far end of the bus area (on the left hand side as you come out of the Metro). You will come to the the Wayne/Colesville intersection, turn left, cross Colesville, and go up the hill on Wayne. Take the second right, the first light, after Colesville, onto Cameron and the restaurant is about half a block down on the right.

There is a secondary Metro exit, on the North end of the station. From that entrance you won't instantly see the bus area. Just walk uphill, opposite side from Starbucks, turn left on Wayne and follow the other directions. By car it is often simpler to find Cameron as a turn off of Georgia Ave., first light North of Colesville, but on foot Wayne is shorter, simpler, and more pleasant.

Here is a MapQuest map of the area. The red star for the restaurant is a little bit closer to Georgia than the restaurant really is, it is really about half a block towards the Metro tracks from there, but otherwise ithe map is accurate.
